Trust God 100%

Relationships thrive because of trust.Relationships die because of lack of trust. How much can we trust God? Can you trust him at a 70% level—holding back 30% of your trust to place in someone else or something else? Can you trust God 50% of the time, believing that 50% of your circumstances and situations sit outside of the Almighty's trustworthiness? What would it look like, what would it feel like, what new horizons would open up to you if today (and maybe tomorrow) you trusted God 100%?Another way to put this: Trust God unconditionally. The Bible is a book of romance, the hero of the story wooing us into a life of love with him—a life of total, radical trust in him (which is intellectually and relationally possible in this world of pain and tears only because God is Sovereign, Wise, and Good; See: 3 Truths That Change Your Life). The chorus of this love song is an invitation to trust God unconditionally because he loves us unconditionally. This is the key to trust. We give people conditional trust, less-than-100%-trust, because we find their love for us to be conditional, less-than-100%-love. God is different than those other people in your life. God is God. And the crazy freedom he's been warmly inviting you and me into for years is the adventurous happiness of total, radical, unconditional 100% trust. Perhaps it's time to really believe the good news of this invitation we keep dismissing because we can't fathom a relationship this good, this loving, this trusting, this freeing, this happy.
