Easter 2016 at Garden City

We enjoyed a joyful, celebratory, big Easter at Garden City Church. A note, especially to pastors: Please don't fall into the week-after-Easter-trap of comparing your church to other churches. The week after Easter is a week to celebrate what God did in churches everywhere and to feel thankful for what God is doing in the church family he's called you to shepherd. That being said, here are a few pictures celebrating how God is at work in the church I have the joy of belonging to.People were smiling and connecting.I preached my shortest sermon ever at Garden City, Get Out of Your Boat.The band and choir led us in song, and everyone went home with a copy of Risk is Right and directions to download our new Risks App.People told moving stories of how Jesus changed their life.We celebrated joyful baptisms after each service.And the kids had fun too!
