Sperm Donors, Lesbian Couples, & Child Support

What's going on in America in 2007 is different from what was going on in America in 1978, the year I was born. A news headline from today attests to a few of the significant dynamics emerging in our larger American culture: Court Orders Sperm Donor to Lesbian Couple to Pay Child Support.As I've reflected here before, what most concerns me about headlines like this is the need for the church to be figuring out how to best minister to the thousands upon thousands of American children who are now growing up in homes like this.
